“We want good quality information and advice to be freely available and accessible to all – to help people plan better for their future, make well informed choices, get good access to the kinds of personal support they need, help people to help themselves wherever possible and ultimately reduce the need for more formal care and support.”
Our vision
Torbay Advice Network, commonly known as TAN, was formed in 2006.
We aim to fill the need to provide front-line support for communities, volunteers and practitioners in Torbay.
We will do this by improving the quality of information available to residents, and therefore allow them to make better informed decisions about their health and wellbeing in Torbay.
The Torbay Advice Network embodies Devon County Council’s commitment to clear and consistent information and advice.
Torbay Advice Network is a registered charity and company, limited by guarantee and governed by this board of directors:
- Chris Wills – Solicitor (Chair)
- Tim Godfrey – Bishop Fleming Chartered Accountants
- Steve Gale – Welfare advice consultants
We also have a Welfare Advisor and Trainer on hand to help you, who are overseen by Wayne Johnson, our manager.
