Following up on a new framework in which they focus more on the cause of issues than the consequences, the Housing Ombudsman has called for evidence from the public for the first time. They hope to discover more about damp and mould so they can provide proper support to Landlords as a preventive measure. From their recent case study in Feburary 2021, they deemed damp and mould to be a significant issue based both on the volume of incidents and the amount of compensation residents would receive due to the issue.
